How long do I have to bring an employment claim?

Most employment claims must be filed within 3 months (less one day) of the date of dismissal or the act complained of. This deadline is strict — do not delay.

What compensation can I receive for unfair dismissal?

You can receive a basic award (based on age, pay, and length of service) plus a compensatory award for financial losses, subject to the statutory cap (currently £115,115).
